Jenny + Rodney's Palauea (White Rock) Beach, Maui Elopement Photography

Jenny and Rodney were a last minute booking for their Maui beach elopement. They had planned on getting married near their home in Texas, but as weddings sometimes do, things got a little too stressful and crazed. The couple decided to cancel their wedding and run away to get married on Maui instead! Following their elopement, Jenny and Rodney told me that they were very pleased with the decision to elope on Maui and everything turned out exactly the way that they had wanted it to (with much less stress)!

This is a second marriage for both Jenny and Rodney, and both have children that they are bringing together into their family. The couple has known each other since high school, but they didn’t reconnect until later in life. I was especially touched by this couple’s heartfelt written vows. Jenny and Rodney are grounded in their faith, and that commitment was evident throughout their elopement ceremony.

Ho'omaika'i 'ana (Congratulations), Jenny and Rodney! It was an honor to be your Maui elopement photographer, and I hope to see you again when you return to visit Maui.

Kind words from the bride:

I can’t tell you how much we love these photos! You did an amazing job!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for capturing these precious moments!

Angel + James' Ironwoods Beach, Maui Elopement Photography

On a gorgeous late May afternoon, Angel and James were married during an elegant beach elopement ceremony on Ironwoods Beach (Oneloa), Maui. Angel and James have been together for 7 years, and earlier this year, they decided that an elopement on Maui was the perfect way for them to wed. The couple is from Pennsylvania, and like many who elope on Maui, they had never visited the island before.

I had a great time getting to know this sweet, beautiful couple! They had tried surfing for the first time earlier in the week, and they were looking forward to going again. I offered my tips for the best beginner surf spots on Maui…I hope that they ended up being stoked on the surf :)

It was an honor to be your Maui elopement photographer, Angel and James! Ho'omaika'i 'ana (Congratulations)!

Amanda + Austin's South Maui Beach Elopement Photography

Amanda and Austin traveled from their home in Texas to Maui for their beach elopement. The couple exchanged touching vows on Makena Cove Beach during an overcast, yet warm March afternoon. As a Maui wedding photographer, I dream about overcast days such as this! Cloud cover makes for ideal lighting conditions, as opposed to the bright, harsh sun that so often graces the South Shore of Maui.

Amanda and Austin were a sweet, laid-back couple, and they were up for an adventure. Their elopement was scheduled a bit earlier in the afternoon, so we had some time to move to a different location for portraits after their ceremony was finished. We drove to the southernmost part of the island, La Perouse Bay, and went for a short hike to get the stunning backdrop of Mount Haleakala, as well as unique lava formations.

In addition to celebrating their marriage, Amanda and Austin are also expecting their first child! They asked me to get a few maternity photos for them to share with their loved ones.

It was an honor to be your Maui elopement photographer, Amanda and Austin! Ho'omaika'i 'ana (Congratulations) on your marriage, and your pregnancy!

Anne + Scott's Makena Cove, Maui Beach Elopement Photography

Anne and Scott traveled from Texas, USA for their beach elopement. It was their first time visiting Maui, and they were so pleased with their decision to elope on this majestic island. Anne and Scott are such a gorgeous, kind couple, and I am honored to have been their Maui elopement photographer!

On a personal note, I tripped, fell, and then cut my foot on a lava rock following the ceremony. A hazard of the job! Scott is a paramedic, and he was so professional and kind in insisting at looking at the resulting wound. Needless to say, I carried on and continued with their portrait session. And luckily, I did not end up needing stitches 😊. I was back in the water surfing within a week.

Ho'omaika'i 'ana (Congratulations), Anne and Scott!
