Maui Engagement Photographer | Engagement Session on Maui

Nghi and Alan contacted me for an engagement photography session while they were visiting Maui to celebrate their recent engagement. The couple lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, and they met several years ago through their work at an accounting firm. I had a wonderful time getting to know Nghi and Alan and sharing one of my favorite places to watch the waves and the sunset on Maui. It’s a secret location, which is becoming more and more rare on Maui, but Nghi and Alan promised me that they wouldn’t tell their friends or family about this spot.

Congrats on your engagement, Nghi and Alan! I hope to see you when you return to Maui for your next visit. Aloha!

Kind Words from Nghi:

The photos look absolutely beautiful, and I love every single one of them!

Maui Couples Photographer | Anniversary Photos in Wailea-Makena, Maui, HI

Shahanna and Jason recently visited Maui to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary.  They are the sweetest couple from Massachusetts and they have 9 children together.  The love between them is so apparent!

Unbeknownst to Shahanna, Jason reached out prior to our sunset session to tell me that he was going to surprise her with a new wedding ring (a gorgeous piece from Ireland)!  I was so honored to capture this special moment for Shahanna and Jason, and I'm glad that they were able to share the moment with their children and family through the photos.

Shahanna and Jason were game to get in the ocean for a few fun shots toward the end of the session.  This made my heart SO happy.  I haven't been getting nearly enough use out of my water housing (hint, hint)!

Congrats on your 20th anniversary, Shahanna and Jason!  I hope that you had an amazing time visiting Maui!

Places to Visit in Maui, Hawaii | The Sacred Garden

One of my favorite activities to do with my boyfriend's children is geocaching.  Geocaching involves using GPS coordinates to hunt for hidden "treasures", which are containers or objects that are placed in various outdoor locations.  Recently, we were searching for geocaches in Upcountry Maui, and we stumbled upon a geocache that is located on the stunning property of The Sacred Garden in Makawao.  That led us to spending a few hours exploring the beauty and peace with the Sacred Garden.

The Sacred Garden is a non-profit botanical garden that is free to the public.  The Sacred Garden features an amazing collection of plants, flowers, living shrines, two labyrinths, and plenty of space to mediate or connect with friends and loved ones.   They also host a variety of groups, organizations, classes, and retreats.  Whether you are visiting Maui or you live here, be sure to check them out!
