 The Process

Step 1: LET’s Make it official!

Every elopement and wedding is a little bit different, so after you inquire, I’ll reach out with custom package options tailored to your specific needs. In order to provide an excellent experience for each of my clients, I take on a limited number of elopements and weddings each year. I will refer you to a trusted colleague if for some reason it’s not a good fit for us to work together.

To reserve your date, you’ll sign an electronic contract and pay a non-refundable 30% retainer. Now, the fun begins!

STEP 2: TIME TO START PLANNING!

For elopements and intimate beach weddings, I will assist with planning to help you decide the best locations, timing, and vendor recommendations. If you are having a larger wedding, I’ll develop a photography timeline, provide vendor recommendations, and work closely with your wedding planner.

STEP 3: GET MARRIED!

The day has arrived and you’re getting married on Maui— so exciting! You’ll be completely at ease knowing that I’ll photograph your wedding with the upmost professionalism and lots of aloha. Your only job is to be yourself, focus on enjoying this this once-in-a-lifetime experience with your lover, and soak up the warm Maui sunshine!

STEP 4: ENJOY YOUR PHOTOS!

For elopements and intimate beach weddings, you’ll receive a curated collection of fully-edited, high resolution, digital images within 3 weeks. For larger weddings, you can expect to receive your gallery within 6 weeks. Images are presented in a custom online gallery that allows you to easily download, print, and share your photos. Upon delivery, you’ll receive options to print your photos professionally if you wish.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer a one hour package for elopements and weddings?

No, my minimum package starts at 1.5 hours for elopements and 2 hours for weddings. Having photographed over 100 weddings on Maui, I’ve learned that an hour just isn’t enough time to do justice to your love story (despite what some planners might suggest!). Factoring in the time needed to capture the ceremony, a variety of gently posed and candid images, and the details that make your day special, more than an hour is necessary for me to create images that will serve as your legacy.

Can you help me to plan my elopement?

Yes, definitely! I work with the most talented wedding professionals on Maui, including officiants, florists, and hair and make-up artists. I can also help you to choose the perfect location for your Maui elopement.

For larger weddings, I can refer you to a trusted wedding planner.

Do you work with the LGBTQ+ and/or other minority CommunitIES?

YES!!! I believe that love is love is love 🌈

I love photographing ALL couples regardless of gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, or religious preferences.

Can we Get married and/or take photos OFF THE BEATEN PATH?

No, it’s important to be pono, respect the Hawaiian culture, and obey all laws regarding weddings and photography. I can assist you in choosing a location and obtaining the proper permits needed for your elopement/wedding. If you want something different than a beach location, I know several Maui venues and private properties that offer a unique wedding experience for an additional fee.

WhaT is required to reserve my date?

To reserve your date, you’ll sign an electronic contract and pay a non-refundable 30% retainer. Should Covid affect your elopement/wedding, you can apply your retainer to another date within a year of your original date.

Do you travel to photograph weddings?

Since the pandemic, I’ve enjoyed staying close to home. I do travel to the other Hawaiian islands for an additional travel fee of $1500.
