A Chic, Elegant December Elopement at Makena Cove

I kicked off the wedding season of 2021 at Makena Cove, and then ended it at the same, stunning beach with this chic elopement. And I can’t imagine a sweeter couple to end the year with than A and E. They were clearly so in love, and simply stoked to be getting married on a beautiful Maui beach.

Makena Cove is a small, picturesque beach that features palm trees surrounding both ends of the cove. This location is a rather popular spot for weddings on Maui, and for good reason! There are a variety of lava rocks, white sand, and greenery surrounding this beach. The beach area itself is small and can get eroded with the larger waves during Maui’s summer season. For this reason, this beach is not recommended for larger groups, especially during the summer months of May - August. It is also best to avoid Makena Cove during the weekends when locals love to relax and fish at this beach.

The bride wore an elegant, sweetheart, mermaid gown, while the groom wore a white button-down shirt and khakis. It was their first time visiting Maui, and they were in awe of the beauty of this place.

Ho'omaika'i ana (Congratulations) on your marriage, A and E! It was an honor to be your Maui elopement photographer!
