My process is simple and thoughtfully guided from our first email conversation to the final delivery of your gallery. With 8 years of experience photographing couples, families, and portraits of all kinds across Maui, I’ll help you think through timing, locations, and the details that allow your photo session to flow smoothly. In the end, you’ll have a collection of beautiful images that bring you right back to your time on Maui.

Thoughtfully structured sessions. With 30, 60, and 90-minute options, you can select the time that best fits your vision. I aim to keep things simple and straightforward, without complicated packages.

MY PROCESS

  • Stage 1: Inquire & Connect

    Reach out with your preferred date, location, and the type of session you’re envisioning. I’ll follow up with availability, pricing, and everything you need to move forward.

  • Stage 2: Reserve your date

    To reserve your session, you’ll sign a simple electronic contract and submit a non-refundable 30% retainer. Payment plans are available for the remaining balance.

  • Stage 3: Keep it simple

    My portrait sessions are designed to be relaxed and easy. I’ll guide you with location suggestions, timing, and clothing recommendations if needed.

  • Stage 4: The day of your session

    All you need to do is show up and enjoy the experience. I’ll gently direct when needed while also giving you space to be yourself, capturing both natural moments and artfully composed images.

  • Stage 5: Relive the Memories

    After your session, I carefully go through and hand-edit your images with attention to color, light, and detail. Before you know it, you’ll receive a private online gallery where you can easily view, download, and share your photos.

These are a few of the questions that I often receive from clients. If you don’t see your question here, please reach out.

Start the conversation

  • It’s important to respect the Hawaiian culture and obey all laws regarding photography. This means that many remote locations and waterfalls on Maui are off the list. However, I can point you toward stunning, permissible locations that are a little more quiet and less traveled and I will assist in obtaining the proper permits.

    If you want something different than a beach location, there are some Maui venues and private properties that allow photography sessions for additional fee. For more details, please reach out.

  • Maui weather can be unpredictable, but rain is often brief and location-dependent. I’ll help you build a flexible plan and suggest alternative locations if needed. If rain is widespread and persistent, we will look at rescheduling your session as a last resort.

  • For all portrait sessions, your fully edited gallery will be delivered within 2 weeks in a private online gallery, where you can view, download, and share your images.

  • You’re not alone—most of my clients feel this way. I’ll guide you with simple direction so nothing feels forced or overly posed. The goal is for you to feel comfortable and present, and for your photos to reflect the joy and beauty of your special time on Maui.
