You’ve decided on your wedding date, and now you need to decide what time of day to have your ceremony! You’ll want to plan the time of your ceremony to coincide with the best times for both comfort and lighting. The Maui sun is quite harsh and intense from about 10am - 4pm (varying by about a half hour depending on the time of year). If possible, you’ll want to avoid having your beach ceremony during these hours. Being out in the open sun is not only uncomfortable for the couple and guests, but it can also cause undesirable shadows and harsh light that can be unflattering for portraits.

So, you’ve decided to elope or have an intimate wedding on Maui, and now you’re wondering what to expect for the weather! The overall climate on Maui is quite pleasant consisting of year-round daytime temperatures at sea-level ranging from 75-85°F (23-29°C). However, this does not mean that the weather is always bright and sunny (although it often is somewhere on the island).
